Health and Dental Care in California
Medi-Cal, the state version of Medicaid, covers the dental care of low-income families. Healthy Families, a state medical assistance program for families who make too much to be considered low income but not enough to meet their medical needs, offers dental care to children across the state for a low monthly premium (it won't exceed $45/month for a family).
In addition to these state-funded programs, many discount dental programs are now available that offer Californian families a considerable savings on basic preventive and emergency dental care. Yearly enrollment fees in these plans range in cost from $79.95-$139.95 for individuals and $129.95-$189.95 for families. Benefits included in are:
