Indiana (IN) Dental Plans
Indiana has a government assistance program for children, pregnant women and low-income families who need medical healthcare, including regular routine dental care. This program called Hoosier Healthwise Program offers benefits such as routine check-ups, cleanings, emergency and urgent care, and other dental related procedures at little or no cost to families who qualify based on income. Indiana is also involved in SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program) which is a Medicaid based program, in which children under 20 years of age from low-income families are eligible to receive early and periodic screening, diagnosis and treatment (EPDST) for services such as prophylaxis, x-rays, emergency dental care, advanced procedures and in some cases, orthodontic treatment, depending on the state and family needs.
