Health and Dental Care in Pennsylvania

Many beautiful sights include the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, the Pocono Mountains, the horse-and-buggies and beautiful craftsmanship of the Amish, covered bridges, stunning year-round resorts, and the Susquehanna River- which is so wide it is often mistaken for a lake.  Several theme parks, world famous chocolate, the Little League World Series and Penn State College football, are just a few of the many attractions that families will love.

Pennsylvania is a great place to raise a family.  Parents want the best for their children and want them to be happy and healthy.  Regular checkups and exams can be expensive if you do not have health or dental benefits.  The Surgeon General has reported that there are even more children without dental insurance than there are children without health insurance.  For those families without, this state has a program that provides free insurance for kids.  The program is called CHIP, short for Pennsylvania’s Children’s Health Insurance Program.  It enables children to get great health and dental care, and parents receive the same insurance card as everyone else, so others won’t know if you are on the program.
